I am an Reference Librarian in Adult Services at a public library in New Jersey. I’m relatively new to this profession, having started my first full-time library job in early 2005. In two years on the job, I’ve learned a lot about what excites me in this field and have discovered, much to my surprise, I am most interested in learning about emerging technologies.
This blog started as part of the Central Jersey Regional Library Cooperative’s Tech Challenge. The Tech Challenge was a Learning 2.0 initiative where librarians explored various web tools to see how they could be used to further library services. The Challenge ended, but I realized my learning won’t, so I figured I’d keep the blog going. This space will serve as a place for me to collect my thoughts and ideas on technology in libraries, as well as to highlight sites and services that I’d like to try out.
